Contribution to CWM
Békésy's cochlear mechanics provided the strongest kill ratio in the project — 3 of 4 hypotheses killed. The travelling-wave vs. standing-wave boundary is fundamental: CWM works because glass supports standing waves, while the cochlea uses travelling waves. The failure of Békésy analogies confirmed CWM's operating regime.
